“They’re just boobs, Maverick,” I tease him.

“Not just boobs, Connelly. They’re yours, and they’re delectable.” Loving the way his eyes are caressing me, I make a slow show of removing my top and bra. His eyes dilate and his breathing speeds up in pace. My supernatural hearing gives me the ability to hear the beat of his heart as the blood pumps through his veins. The fact that I have this ability to make a strong man like Maverick lose himself, does wonders for my ego. I’ve been unsure of myself since I was taken, but being with him, I’m feeling strong once again. This man, the little time I’ve been in his presence, has managed to flip my life back to rights. The day I lost everyone; I nearly gave up on life. That is, until Charisma announced that I have a mate, one who was bound and determined to save me. His lips touch the tip of my breast and my thoughts vanish as quickly as they came on. “That’s better,” he says as my back arches into him and a moan of delight leaves my mouth. “I need you here, in the moment, with me.”
